It takes quite a while to cook them. I bought these to make Boba Thai Iced Tea at home. They are good, but I didn't realize that when they cook they turn clear. The first time I thought they had broken apart because while cooking they turn clear from the outside in, so I saw tiny white dots in the boiling water, but once I spooned them out I realized they were there, just invisible.They taste great, but their turning clear surprised me, I guess I am used to the black ones from the drink stands here. They are fun, and I will try cooking them in colored water to see if I can tint them, that might be kind of interesting.
